The District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board is involved in administering the Children and Family Investment Fund, Emergency Energy Fund, Rent Bank and the Consolidated Homelessness Prevention Program.

The DSSMSSAB supports the City of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Department in administering the Accessibility Plan and Accessibility Awareness as set out in the Ontarians with Disabilities Act (2001).

DSSMSSAB is also supportive of the City of Sault Ste. Marie in their role as the Community Entity for the planning and administration of the Homelessness Partnering Strategy from Human Resources and Social Development.
