Federal Non-Profit Housing
Formerly administered by the Federal Government as part of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), this program was devolved to the local level with it's Provincial counterparts. Non-Profit housing is owned and operated on a not-for-profit basis by community based non-profit corporations. They receive subsidy funding from the DSSMSSAB and provide housing for market, rent-geared-to-income (RGI) and special needs residents.
