Introduction

COMMUNITY CHILD CARE

Community Child Care Services supports social and economic development by investing in and supporting an affordable, accessible and accountable child care system benefiting children, their parents and caregivers, and the broader community.

Community Child Care Services also provides financial assistance for full and part-time subsidized child care for families who qualify with children from infancy to ten (10) years of age, thus supporting the employment, training and educational needs of parents.
 
 
Community Child Care Services is also responsible for the management of other child care services, which includes:
  • special needs resourcing
  • general operating grant
  • family resource programs
  • providing information and support to parents and caregivers.
 
Community Child Care is currently governed by the Day Nurseries Act.

Early Years/Social Services Planning and Transition Process

 
This RFP is issued by The District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board to obtain a consultant to analyze, examine and develop an implementation plan for Early Years service delivery within the broader social services framework.
 
Consultants are expected to provide proposals in response to this RFP no later than4:00 PM on December 12, 2016
